A couple of summers ago I had the opportunity to fly a float plane and get my seaplane pilot rating. It is by far the best flying I’ve ever done. Being up here in Alaska, seaplanes are everywhere. Anchorage boasts the largest seaplane base at Lake Hood and airplanes are relied on here more than any other place in the states and maybe the world. With the combination of water and the science of flight, seaplanes make great photo subjects. Here are the stellar pictures of seaplanes.
