Past moment in present by Jason Powell

These photographs are the most artistic one that combines the past moment with the present moment. Do you remember “Pencil versus Camera” project by Ben Heine? Photographer Jason Powell does something really similar, however instead of drawings he uses old photographs allowing us to look into the past.
Images are made by finding old photographs of places, printing them out, and then holding the print up in the modern day location that the original photograph was taken. Jason says that so far, most of the historical images have been available for free at the Library of Congress.
Those artistic photographs are called “Looking Into the Past” was inspired both by his love of history and Michael Hughes’ Souvenirs, and has already been featured on Wired, blog.flickr.net, NPR, BoredPanda, Digg, Reddit and numerous other popular websites.
