A Film Photography Experience with Kevin Morris

Kevin Morris is a twenty-four year old photographer based out of Toronto, Ontario. He bought his first DLSR, a Nikon D60, after taking a trip to Europe and Asia for work, not bringing a camera, and regretting it. He’s been in love ever since, and now has a selection of cameras, including a Nikon D700, Nikon D7000, Minolta SRT102, Diana F+ 120, and a growing collection of vintage cameras ranging from Kodak Eastman to Brownie models.

This summer he decided to get out his grandfather’s old 35mm Minolta SRT102 and fix it up, and it has made a huge impact on his photography. Having to take the extra time to make sure every setting is perfect, and having to deal with film, even enhances your digital photography work. Kevin says he takes less images overall, and his images are a better quality than ever before, especially the weddings he has done since he started using film. The ten photos selected are all from his film photography taking experience.
